Been there (2024)

This photograph captures the Statue of Liberty — an enduring icon of freedom and arrival, and one of the most visited landmarks in New York City. Yellow pins pierce the surface of the print, clustering over the figure like markers on a map or visitors on a platform.

The intervention evokes both the symbolic weight of the statue and the overwhelming density of tourism surrounding it. What was once a solitary beacon is now overcrowded, almost consumed by its own visibility.

Shot in New York City, USA.
